SALE SUMMARY
As you can see the ZV8 was a complete conversion rather than a straight-foward motor swap where a different motor is just shoved under the hood. The parts for the conversion total over $40,000 and I personally have between 450-500hrs invested into the project.
This car is rock solid reliable, and I have taken the car on several 500+ mile road trips for business. Water temp gauge just stays at 180* and rarely goes up at all - even in stop/go traffic and 90* weather. If the opportunity had come up I was truly looking to do a coast-to-coast trip in the ZV8, but the opportunity never presented itself and I have very little time these days
As setup, the car is an aggressive street vehicle. It has a moderate audio system and full interior - so it could stand to shed a few lbs if you were to make it a track vehicle (current weight w/o hardtop or driver is 2900lbs). The flywheel/transmission combo does emit a bit of vibration/noise but it is well worth the performannce in my book. If you were to improve it's street manors the only thing you would need to do is find a quieter pair of mufflers (I've heard Remus on LSx cars and that would be my choice).
Additionally, to my knowledge this project was the first LSx Z3 conversion in the world (several other e36 cars were converted prior to the Z....however I have yet to come across a Z conversion done prior to 2006).
